Following the announcement of the iPhone 18 Pro models, Apple has discontinued the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Both devices are no longer available on Apple's online store, as the company typically retires previous Pro models when new ones launch.

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max were introduced in September 2025 at Apple's "Awe dropping" event. They featured the A19 Pro chip, triple-array rear cameras with 48-megapixel lenses, and a 48-megapixel Telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom. The front camera was 18-megapixel with Center Stage.

These models replaced the titanium frame of the iPhone 16 Pro with an aluminum unibody design and an Apple-designed vapor chamber for better thermal performance. They retained 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays. The iPhone 17 Pro started at $1,099, and the Pro Max at $1,199 in the U.S.

With their discontinuation, Apple's lineup now centers on the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, starting at $1,199 and $1,299 respectively. For the first time, 2TB storage is available on the smaller model. Apple also unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable, starting at $1,999 for 256GB, with options up to 2TB. Prices for iPhone 16, iPhone 17, and iPhone Air have been raised.
