Apple Del Amo in Torrance, in the Los Angeles area, has been temporarily closed for a few days. Apple has added a notice to the store's page reading: "We'll be right back. Our store is temporarily closed due to events beyond our control."
According to Reddit comments, the store allegedly suffered extensive water damage following a roof leak in the shopping mall. Apple has not provided further details about the cause of the closure or a reopening date in the notice.
The store's temporary closure comes as Apple continues to manage its retail footprint. Recent Apple Store news has included renovations at the Apple Park Visitor Center in Cupertino, California, where the 3D augmented reality model of the Apple Park campus was removed during a remodel that began in July and was completed recently. Apple Stores worldwide also received a new "hello" decoration for testing iPhone camera zoom on September 18.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max also began reaching customers worldwide following a pre-order period that started on Saturday, September 12. Customers who did not pre-order were facing a 3-4 week wait for iPhone 18 Pro Max models across all storage options and colorways in the U.S.
