Tecno unveiled a concept phone at MWC 2026 that merges ultra-slim design with modular hardware using physical pogo pins. The Tecno Modular Phone Atom Edition measures just 4.9mm thick with a matte glass back and magnetic array, while the Moda Edition offers a geekier aesthetic. Unlike wireless systems, Tecno's approach uses pogo pins for efficient power delivery, demonstrated by a 4.5mm thick power bank module that extends battery life.

Modules like cameras and controllers connect via wireless data (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, mmWave), allowing flexibility in functionality. The prototype system, featuring one or two power connectors depending on the model, could evolve into an open ecosystem if production advances.
