Tecno's Pova 8 takes the brand's battery-centric approach further with an 8,000mAh battery that TÜV SÜD certified for two-day longevity. The capacity jumps significantly from the Pova 7's 6,000mAh unit, and Tecno rates it for over 2,000 charge cycles – roughly six years of use before capacity drops below 80%.

The device pairs this endurance with a Dimensity 7100 chipset on TSMC's 6nm process, accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Tecno optimized the phone for stable 90fps performance in popular mobile games like Honor of Kings and Mobile Legends. A graphite heat spreader sheet helps manage thermal output during extended gaming sessions.

The back panel features an unconventional triple-lens camera module where only the top sensor is functional – a 50MP Sony Lytia 600 with 2x in-sensor zoom. Below it sits the Alive Matrix Display, a dot-matrix screen replacing the Pova 7's Delta Light Interface. The front uses a 6.76-inch 144Hz IPS LCD with 1080p+ resolution and Wet & Oily Finger Touch Recognition 2.0.

Charging options include 45W wired fast charging that hits 50% in 35 minutes, plus 10W reverse charging, though wireless charging was dropped. The phone ships with HiOS 16 based on Android 16 and comes in Arc White, Graphite Black, Helios Orange, and Echo Green with IP64 protection.

Tecno's strategy prioritizes battery life and distinctive design over raw performance upgrades, targeting users who value multi-day usage and eye-catching aesthetics over flagship-level specifications.
