TCL CSOT unveiled its Super Pixel display technology at MWC 2026, promising significant improvements in image quality and power efficiency. The new display design adds just 1.8% more sub-pixels than traditional SPR displays while achieving sharper images and reducing controller processing load by up to 25%.

The streamlined Super Pixel architecture eliminates the need for sub-pixel rendering, which typically requires borrowing pixels from neighboring areas to create colors. This innovation allows for refresh rates up to 40% higher than current displays. TCL CSOT also announced construction of the world's first 8.6-generation inkjet-printed OLED production line, touting advantages like simpler manufacturing processes and 50%-60% larger emission areas for improved efficiency.

Beyond Super Pixel technology, TCL CSOT's inkjet-printed OLED displays promise superior image quality through Real Stripe RGB panels and better color accuracy. The company emphasizes that printer-based manufacturing is more adaptable to different panel sizes and eliminates the vacuum procedures required for traditional OLED production. These advancements position TCL CSOT as a serious competitor in the display technology market, challenging established players with innovative approaches to both display design and manufacturing.
