Samsung clarified the rollout of the One UI 9 beta, beginning later this week in South Korea, the US, the UK, and Germany, with Poland and India joining on May 26. The beta targets the new Galaxy S26 family, while older models will follow.

The update ties directly to Android 17 and will debut with next‑generation Galaxy Z foldables—expected in July. Google’s Pixels already run Android 17 betas, and the stable release is slated for Google I/O on May 19‑20.

Only the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra currently qualify for the beta, meaning early adopters must possess these flagship devices and register via Samsung Members. The limited roster reflects Samsung’s focus on high‑end hardware first.

With the beta arriving in major markets, users will soon experience a refreshed UI, setting the stage for the foldable launch and positioning Samsung to compete more aggressively against Google’s Pixel lineup.
