Red Magic will launch its Gaming Tablet 5 Pro in China tomorrow, with plans to bring the device to global markets under the Red Magic Astra 2 branding. The company confirmed international availability but hasn't specified release dates for Western markets yet.

The tablet features a 9.06-inch OLED display with 2.4K resolution and a smooth 185Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with liquid cooling to manage thermals during extended gaming sessions.

Power comes from an 8,300mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging, while dual USB Type-C ports provide flexible connectivity. A built-in PC emulator enables Steam game compatibility, bridging mobile and desktop gaming experiences.

This follows last July's global debut of the original Red Magic Astra, which was a rebranded Gaming Tablet 3 Pro. The Astra 2 represents Red Magic's continued push into the premium gaming tablet segment, competing with devices like the ASUS ROG Flow series and Lenovo Legion tablets.
