Red Magic is preparing to launch its latest gaming-focused tablet, the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, on June 30 in China. The device stands out with a built-in PC emulator that lets users run AAA games directly out of the box. Red Magic developed a proprietary translation layer within its Game Space app to enable x86 applications on the tablet, supporting up to 2K resolution at 144Hz.

The Gaming Tablet 5 Pro packs impressive hardware, including the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 9.06-inch OLED display with 2.4K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate. Liquid cooling is integrated to manage heat during intense gaming sessions, and the tablet includes dual USB Type-C ports for connectivity and peripherals.

Powering the device is an 8,500mAh battery paired with 80W fast charging support, designed to keep gamers running for extended periods. Users can import Steam libraries or install games via EXE files, with a demonstration showing the tablet working alongside a Red Magic controller.

The tablet will launch globally as the Red Magic Astra 2, bringing PC-level gaming to a portable form factor.
