Oppo Find X10 Ultra camera leak reveals larger telephoto sensor

Chinese flagship maker Oppo has a new leak suggesting work on the Find X10 Ultra, the successor to the May‑launched Find X9 Ultra. While a 2024 release is unlikely, the rumor reveals the first camera specs. The upcoming model will retain the 50 MP periscope telephoto and 10× optical zoom found on its predecessor.

Key difference lies in sensor size. The X9 Ultra uses a 1/2.75‑inch sensor for its 50 MP telephoto, but the X10 Ultra reportedly upgrades to a 1/1.95‑inch unit while keeping the same resolution. Larger sensor area captures more light, which should improve image quality at full 10× zoom, narrowing the gap with the short‑range telephoto lens.

Industry analysts see the sensor bump as Oppo’s answer to competing flagships that already sport larger periscopes. By boosting low‑light performance without altering the 50 MP count, the Find X10 Ultra could reclaim a lead in zoom photography. Consumers interested in high‑detail telephoto shots will likely weigh this upgrade against price and release timing.

Pricing remains unconfirmed, but the Find X9 Ultra launched at roughly ₹170,000, suggesting the X10 Ultra will sit in a similar premium bracket. If Oppo delivers the promised sensor upgrade, the device could set a new benchmark for periscope zoom, forcing rivals to accelerate their own camera roadmaps.
