Nubia announced that it will launch the world’s first AI agent smartphone during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai, China, from July 17 to July 20.

No specifications have been released, but industry chatter points to a successor of the M153. The M153 shipped with ByteDance’s Doubao AI assistant, a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage. The new model is expected to push these capabilities further with deep system‑level AI integration and autonomous cross‑platform operation.

Details on hardware, design, and pricing will surface at WAIC 2026. The phone could set a new standard for AI integration in mainstream smartphones, compelling rivals to accelerate similar initiatives.

If the device delivers on its promises, consumers will see a more seamless, AI‑driven experience, while the industry may shift toward system‑wide AI agents as a differentiator for next‑generation mobile platforms.
