Motorola rolled out its first book‑style folding phone in India, the Razr Fold, on May 20. The device arrives in Pantone Blackened Blue and Lily White, plus a FIFA World Cup edition. Prices start at INR149,999 for the 12 GB/256 GB model and climb to INR169,999 for the special edition for Indian consumers only online pre‑orders available today through.

Under the hood, the Razr Fold packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC and runs Android 16. Two LTPO OLED panels deliver 120 Hz on the 8.1‑inch internal screen and 165 Hz on the 6.6‑inch cover, with resolutions of 2,484×2,232 and 1080p respectively. The 6,000‑mAh battery supports 80 W wired and 50 W wireless charging for rapid recovery and daily usage in any environment.

Camera gear includes a 20‑MP selfie unit, a 32‑MP cover lens, a 50‑MP main sensor, plus 50‑MP periscope and ultrawide modules. The FIFA edition adds a 24‑karat logo on its back and a custom UI with a Heroes game. Consumers can pre‑order via Motorola’s site, Flipkart, or Reliance Digital for early access and exclusive offers.

By launching the Razr Fold in India, Motorola taps a market hungry for premium foldables while offering a price point that undercuts rivals like Samsung’s Fold 5. The combination of high‑resolution displays, fast charging, and a sizable battery signals a push toward mainstream adoption of folding phones in the sub‑continent that will reshape consumer expectations and drive sales for the next year.
