Analyst Jeff Pu has been tracking iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max pre-order wait times and reports they are "lukewarm". The most popular 256GB and 512GB models show 3-4 week wait times for most colors. Pricier 1TB and 2TB models are available immediately for Silver, with 1-2 weeks for Black and Glacier, and 3-4 weeks for Burgundy.

Burgundy is by far the most popular color, while Silver sees little interest. For comparison, iPhone 17 Pro Max hit 3-4 week wait times on September 13 last year, just a day after pre-orders began. iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max pre-orders started September 12 and will be available in the first wave of countries on the 18th. Pu attributes lower demand to limited upgrades, higher prices, and the devices being quite heavy.

The upcoming iPhone Duo foldable is also drawing interest. Analysts will continue monitoring iPhone 18 Pro (Max) sales and will start tracking the iPhone Duo next month. Apple has postponed the launch of the new vanilla and Air models until next year.
