Huawei launched the Watch GT Runner 2, a titanium GPS running watch co-developed with marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge. The sequel to the 2021 model features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with 3,000-nit brightness, protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass. The 43.5mm case weighs just 43.5 grams and offers 40-meter water resistance.

A new 3D floating antenna with optimized gasket design delivers 3.5x better GPS performance than its predecessor, even in challenging environments like tunnels. Paired with an inertial positioning algorithm using the accelerometer and gyroscope, the watch provides accurate route tracking without a smartphone. The GT Runner 2 includes dual-band satellite positioning and intelligent marathon mode with running power measurement, dynamic pace guidance, and real-time lactate threshold detection.

The watch runs Huawei's latest TruSense sensor suite for heart rate, blood oxygen, ECG, and stress monitoring. A 540mAh Si-C battery delivers up to 14 days of use or 32 hours with continuous GPS. Additional features include an onboard speaker for calls, NFC for mobile payments, and compatibility with iOS and Android. Available in three colors for £350, the Watch GT Runner 2 targets serious runners seeking premium performance tracking.
