Honor has set its sights on a new flagship that could eclipse the current mainstream battery record. Rumors from China suggest the upcoming Power3 will house an 11,000‑12,000 mAh cell, a leap from the 10,080 mAh battery in the January‑launched Power2.

The device will pair the larger battery with a 6.8‑inch flat LTPS OLED display and a "1.5K" resolution, matching the Power2’s screen size but offering a modest boost in pixel density. Power3 will also run on the newer MediaTek Dimensity 8600 SoC, taking advantage of the chipset’s improved efficiency.

If the numbers hold, users will see a 920‑1,920 mAh increase over the predecessor, translating into longer runtimes without a noticeable trade‑off in size or design. For the industry, a mainstream phone with a 12,000‑mAh battery could shift expectations around daily usage and fast‑charging standards.

With a release window still unclear, Honor’s move signals a push toward extreme battery endurance, setting a new benchmark for flagship endurance.
