During the unveiling of the Robot Phone, Honor teased the upcoming Magic9 series, set for release in September. A teaser image revealed one device will feature a 200MP camera using a 1/1.4" type sensor with OIS, matching the size of the Magic8 Pro's periscope telephoto camera.

According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Magic9 Pro will actually feature two 200MP cameras: the periscope telephoto with f/2.6 aperture and the main camera. This main sensor will allegedly be a 1/1.28" type with f/1.57 aperture and 3-degree OIS.

The Magic9 Pro is also expected to be among the first devices to use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 SoC. While the Magic8 Pro utilized a 50MP main camera, this new hardware offers significantly more pixels. The Magic9 series is allegedly due to be unveiled on September 28.
