Olympic gold medalist Xu Mengtao was photographed using the device, which Honor has confirmed as part of an official collaboration naming her a brand ambassador for the foldable.

This marketing move follows an earlier sighting with actor Nicholas Tse. The Magic V6 is shaping up to be a specs powerhouse, reportedly running on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and featuring a massive 7,150 mAh battery with 120W wired charging. A 200MP main camera is also expected.

These placements strategically build anticipation ahead of the phone's formal launch. Honor has scheduled its official announcement for March 1 at its MWC Barcelona event. The company is clearly leveraging global sporting events to generate significant buzz for what appears to be a technically ambitious foldable device.
