Google has released Android 17 Beta 3 to developers, marking the third test build in the company's Android 17 beta program. The update arrives roughly a month after Beta 2 and brings the operating system to platform stability. Pixel 6 and newer devices can now download the beta, including the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold.

Beta 3 includes the March Android security patch and several new features. Google detailed the additions in an official blog post, highlighting support for the RAW14 image format, which photographers will appreciate for higher-quality image capture. Users can now hide app labels on their home screens and benefit from more granular audio routing for hearing aids. The screen recording toolbar has been redesigned for better usability.

The update also improves widget scaling on larger displays and introduces various under-the-hood optimizations. With Beta 3 achieving platform stability, developers can now test their apps against the final Android 17 APIs. The stable Android 17 release is still on track for June, giving developers about three months to optimize their applications before the public rollout.
