YouTube has announced that Amazon is now a part of its Shopping affiliate program, allowing creators to tag Amazon products in their videos, Shorts, and livestreams. This move enables eligible creators to earn commissions on purchases made through their links.

CEO Neal Mohan shared the news on X, highlighting that this integration opens up new monetization opportunities for creators. Previously, YouTube had lowered the subscriber threshold for its shopping program, making it more accessible to a wider range of creators.

The expansion also includes the recent launch of the affiliate program in new markets, including Argentina, Mexico, and the UK. With over 1 million people already participating in YouTube Shopping, this partnership with Amazon is expected to further boost creator earnings and viewer engagement.

By allowing creators to link directly to Amazon products, YouTube aims to enhance the shopping experience for viewers while providing a seamless way for creators to monetize their content. This collaboration marks a significant step in YouTube's ecommerce strategy.
