Vivo X300 Ultra launches with 200MP triple‑prime camera system

Chinese maker Vivo is positioning the X300 Ultra as its first true global flagship, though pricing and a U.S. release remain undisclosed. The phone rolls out across Asia, several European markets and Brazil, deliberately skipping the U.S., Canada and the U.K. Building on the X200 Ultra’s intermittent Western presence, the new model aims to cement Vivo’s reputation for cutting‑edge mobile photography.

Partnering again with Zeiss, Vivo equips the X300 Ultra with a triple‑prime lens array: an 85 mm equivalent 200MP telephoto, a 35 mm “Documentary” unit using a 1/1.12‑inch Sony sensor, and a 14 mm 50MP ultrawide. The telephoto can be extended to 400 mm via the pricey Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, while built‑in APO optics and 3‑degree OIS aim to tame color fringing and shake at high zoom.

Beyond stills, all three rear cameras record 4K 120fps 10‑bit log video with Dolby Vision, and a new “pro video” mode lets users load custom LUTs for real‑time monitoring. A SmallRig rig kit adds cage, handgrips and a cooling fan for prolonged shoots. Under the hood sits a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5, a 6.82‑inch 144Hz display, 100W fast‑charge and a 6,600 mAh battery, putting it squarely against Oppo’s Find X9 Ultra.
