Vital Signals Signal Ring: Cuffless Blood Pressure Monitor

Vital Signals founder Tom Moss created the Signal Ring to address hypertension monitoring after his own 250 mm Hg systolic crisis. Unlike wellness-focused wearables, the ring targets medical-grade continuous blood pressure tracking without calibration.

Moss partnered with engineers from Masimo to develop algorithms claiming unprecedented accuracy, dismissing competitors like Samsung's Galaxy Watch for readings that drift between cuff calibrations. The ring passively monitors and allows manual readings with guided breathing.

The $399 device ships in October in US sizes 5–13 with three-day battery and a charging case for four recharges. Vital Signals commits to no subscription fees and no proprietary AI, offering exportable data. The company seeks FDA clearance to integrate with insurers for preventative care.
