Stickers offer a dynamic way to convey emotion in text messages beyond standard emoji. While iOS allows photo-to-sticker conversion, the process is limited. OpenAI recently integrated a sticker-specific workflow into ChatGPT Images, enabling users to transform photos into custom sticker packs for iMessage and WhatsApp.

Generating stickers is straightforward via the ChatGPT mobile app. Users open the sidebar, select the Images tab, and choose the Stickers option under Trending. After selecting a style, reference images, and guiding emoji, ChatGPT generates a set of nine stickers. If the initial output isn't satisfactory, users can edit individual stickers or provide new prompts to refine the results. Once satisfied, the stickers can be exported directly to iMessage or WhatsApp.

Sending the created stickers follows standard messaging app procedures. In iMessage, users select the OpenAI logo within the sticker drawer. For WhatsApp, the stickers appear within a named pack. However, users on free ChatGPT accounts should note that generated stickers count against daily and weekly usage limits, potentially requiring a wait period before further requests can be processed.
