Sony has introduced three new ULT Tower party speakers, replacing older models and bringing enhanced connectivity to the lineup. The ULT Tower Max, priced at $1,500, is the flagship model featuring a rear woofer, four tweeters, and a mid-range driver. It utilizes 360-degree Party Sound technology and includes upgraded wheels for transport.

The ULT Tower 7, costing $650, offers an IPX4 water-resistance rating and 30-hour battery life, serving as a replacement for the XV800. The most compact option, the ULT Tower 5 at $450, also features IPX4 rating but offers 20 hours of battery life, replacing the XV500. A standout feature across the new range is Party Chain, which allows wireless connection via Bluetooth Auracast technology.

This enables multi-room audio setups, though the technology is currently exclusive to these new speakers and won't work with older models. All models feature four EQ buttons offering presets for bass enhancement (ULT1/ULT2), a true-to-source FLAT setting, and a LIVE mode simulating a performance atmosphere. Each speaker includes numerous connection ports such as XLR, RCA, and USB-C, allowing integration with modern DJ hardware and the ULT MIC1 microphone for karaoke sessions.
