Sony has revived its iconic MDR-3R wired headphones, originally released in 1979 alongside the first Walkman. The new version retains the retro design but adds modern touches like USB-C connectivity, a built-in microphone, and a volume knob. Available in blue/orange or a Stranger Things edition with black/red earpads, the headphones are priced at $60 and $80, respectively.
While not high-end studio gear, they offer a nostalgic, lightweight audio experience. This release is part of a broader retro tech trend, alongside typewriters, cassette players, and instant cameras.
