Ninja Theory revealed Senua at the Xbox Games Showcase, confirming the action-heavy Hellblade sequel will launch in 2027 across Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. The game marks a shift toward full action-adventure gameplay while maintaining the series' psychological horror elements.

Unlike its predecessors, Senua features expanded combat systems and more puzzles to solve. Players will explore a map roughly twice the size of Hellblade II's, though the narrative remains linear. The trailer showcased protagonist Senua battling enemies while drenched in liquid gold, emphasizing the game's visual polish.

Studio head Dom Matthews explained that the title reflects Ninja Theory's fresh approach. Development began in September 2024, just months after shipping Hellblade II. The story continues after the first two games, set in purgatory as Senua faces new supernatural threats.

The sequel arrives during a competitive action-adventure market, building on the acclaimed foundation while incorporating modern gameplay expectations. Fans can expect the title on Game Pass at launch.
