Samsung is rolling out its new AI-powered Health Assistant chatbot, integrated into Samsung Health, for eligible US users in beta. The tool aims to help users understand their health data, offering guidance on lifestyle changes for improved wellbeing. It can pull data from various sources, including phones, smart rings, and Galaxy Watches, focusing on sleep, activity, nutrition, mindfulness, and vitals.

Health Assistant can identify patterns users might miss, though it explicitly states it does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatments. A key differentiator is its integration with the broader Samsung ecosystem, potentially linking health data with calendar entries and smart home devices. For example, it could correlate late-night smart light usage with sleep patterns.

Samsung also announced other health features, including sleep monitoring for heart rate and blood oxygen shifts, similar to Apple Watch. Users will see an Energy Score, Heart Health Score, and Fitness Index. Furthermore, Samsung is developing a platform for physicians to access smartwatch data, following their acquisition of Xealth.
