Samsung adds a new model to its Galaxy Book 6 line, the 6 Edge, which swaps the usual Intel chips for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite. The 16‑inch 3K Dynamic AMOLED 2X display supports up to 120 Hz refresh and features anti‑reflective glass, positioning the laptop as a portable option for outdoor work. Pricing starts at $2,100 for the sole configuration.

Qualcomm’s chipset promises up to 80 TOPS of AI performance, a claim Samsung says will accelerate tasks like real‑time translation and image enhancement. The machine runs Windows 11 with Copilot+ integration, includes a single HDMI 2.1 port, microSD slot, one USB 3.2 and two USB 4.0 ports, plus Dolby Atmos quad speakers. Connectivity covers Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi‑Fi 7.

Battery life reaches up to 22 hours of video playback, and a 65 W charger can push the pack to 40 % in half an hour. Weighing 3.42 lb and measuring just under half an inch thick, the Edge packs 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of storage. Samsung’s move signals a broader push for ARM‑based Windows laptops in the premium segment.

By offering a high‑end ARM option alongside its Intel models, Samsung aims to attract developers and power users who value AI acceleration and long battery life, while keeping the price competitive within the ultrabook market.
