Sony's first-party wireless fight stick, the FlexStrike, has been delayed indefinitely. Originally scheduled for release on August 6, 2026, alongside the game MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, the delay is attributed to "unexpected production delays."

Players with pre-orders are advised to expect updates from their retailers. Those who purchased directly from PlayStation can check their order status online. The FlexStrike, priced at $199.99, features customizable buttons, a touchpad, and both wireless (PlayStation Link USB) and wired USB-C connectivity. It is compatible with PC and PS5 consoles.

Sony announced the fight stick, initially known as Project Defiant, in June 2025 and began accepting pre-orders about a year later. The company stated they are "taking extra time to put the finishing touches on the product" to ensure the best player experience and apologized for the inconvenience.
