Ooni Rotating Stone automates pizza rotation for Koda 2 ovens

Ooni has introduced the Rotating Stone, an automated accessory for its Koda 2 pizza oven lineup that eliminates the need to manually rotate pizzas during cooking. The rotating stone features a perimeter-mounted mechanism rather than a central pivot, preventing wobbling or stalling even with heavy cookware. This ensures even heat distribution across the entire pizza surface.

The Rotating Stone includes two rotation modes - continuous and 90-degree - allowing users to conserve battery life when full rotation isn't necessary. An external module equipped with a LIDAR sensor enables hands-free operation through simple hand gestures or pizza peel movements. Ooni claims installation takes less than 10 minutes, making it accessible for most users.

Pricing varies by model: $329 for the Koda 2, $349 for the Koda 2 Pro, and $399 for the Koda 2 Max. Bundles with ovens are available at $799, $1,099, and $1,649 respectively. This accessory addresses a common pain point for pizza enthusiasts using high-heat outdoor ovens, where manual rotation is essential but can be cumbersome and inconsistent.
