NVIDIA-Bolt Alliance for European Robotaxis

NVIDIA and Bolt announced a partnership at GTC 2026 to develop autonomous vehicles for European markets. The symbiotic relationship gives Bolt access to NVIDIA's advanced technology that would be too costly to build independently, while NVIDIA gains access to Bolt's valuable European driving data to train its AI systems.

Bolt will leverage multiple NVIDIA platforms: Cosmos for curating driving data, Omniverse for creating digital twins of real-world driving scenarios, the specialized Alpamayo model for AV learning, and the Drive Hyperion platform for integration into its vehicles. This combination aims to create a "learning engine" for autonomous vehicles using real-world European driving data.

The partnership builds on Bolt's recent collaborations with Pony.ai and Stellantis announced in late 2025. While no timeline exists for NVIDIA-powered Bolt robotaxis in European cities, the companies confirmed GDPR compliance and pledged open-source access for European universities and small businesses. This collaboration positions both companies to compete in the European autonomous mobility market.
