Mina the Hollower finally launched this week from Yacht Club Games, the studio behind Shovel Knight. This action-adventure title puts players in control of a mouse named Mina who can burrow underground for invincibility and platform through gothic horror environments. Reviews have been largely positive for this $20 game now available across Steam, Switch, PS5, and Xbox.

Paralives entered early access after seven years of development, offering a promising alternative to EA's The Sims franchise. Creator Alex Massé leads this life simulation where players build homes, create characters, and explore towns. Currently 10 percent off on Steam until June 1, the game will receive major updates including weather systems, pets, and vehicles during its extended early access period.

The Thinky Direct showcase highlighted over 40 puzzle games, including Escape Academy 2 with splitscreen co-op and Hello Again's time-loop mechanics arriving in 2027. Rural Cat Trails brings feline exploration to the Japanese countryside, while Crashout Crew offers chaotic warehouse co-op action at 38 percent off until June 7.

Steam Next Fest approaches as these indie titles demonstrate the platform's continued support for diverse gaming experiences. From bullet hell roguelites like Enter the Chronosphere to educational navigation games like Map Map, developers are experimenting with familiar genres while Summer Game Fest promises more announcements soon.
