Microsoft is set to host its Windows and Surface event in San Francisco, where it is expected to reveal more details about the Surface Laptop Ultra. The company has hinted at "latest innovations across Windows, NVIDIA RTX Spark, Surface and the broader PC ecosystem." The presentation will feature CEO Satya Nadella, Windows and Devices chief Pavan Davuluri, and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. Scheduled to begin at 10AM PT (1PM ET), the event will last about an hour and will be livestreamed across Microsoft's X, Instagram, and YouTube channels.
Engadget's senior reporters Karissa Bell and Devindra Hardawar will provide live coverage from the scene. Earlier this year, Microsoft showcased the Surface Laptop Ultra at its Build developer conference, highlighting its 15-inch mini LED display with up to 2,000 nits brightness, the largest trackpad ever made by the company, and a range of ports including USB C, USB A, and a full-sized SD card reader. Powered by NVIDIA's RTX Spark superchip, the device is positioned as the most powerful Surface yet.
Today's event is expected to cover pricing, availability, and software features, with potential announcements around Agentic AI capabilities for Windows.
