Lumysi Launches Screen-Free Fitness Tracker Hidden in Fashion Bracelet

Most fitness trackers scream 'tech accessory,' but Lumysi takes a different approach. The startup hid an activity tracker inside what looks like an '80s fashion bracelet, targeting consumers who find traditional wearables aesthetically incompatible with everyday clothing. Co-founder Fabiola Hermosillo created the device after growing frustrated that wearables pair well only with gym clothes.

The titanium bracelet measures heart rate, blood oxygenation, skin temperature and movement without displaying data on its surface. A week-long battery life powers the screen-free device, which syncs via Bluetooth to iOS or Android phones. At just 1.25 inches long and 0.35 inches wide, it comes in gold, silver, rose or black finishes and survives pool swims. The companion app translates biometric readings into actionable health insights rather than dumping raw numbers on users.

Lumysi launches through Kickstarter at $179 for early backers, jumping to $299 at retail. Early supporters also receive free lifetime access to the company's subscription platform, though retail pricing for that service remains undecided. The campaign marks Lumysi's debut product, arriving as consumers increasingly seek health monitoring that doesn't compromise personal style.

This approach addresses a genuine market gap: fitness tracking for people who prioritize discretion over data visualization. Whether the hidden-tech concept resonates enough to sustain a subscription business model remains uncertain, but the aesthetic solution feels overdue in a market dominated by wrist-mounted screens.
