The hand-drawn interactive searching game, a sequel to the 2017 hit, was revealed during Summer Game Fest's Wholesome Direct showcase. Developers confirmed the return of the distinctive black-and-white art style and signature sounds that made the first game a cult favorite.

The sequel expands on the original formula with completely new themes and areas while maintaining the pressure-free exploration experience. Quality-of-life improvements include enhanced graphics, a second visual clue system, and more mouth-made sound effects. Players can expect the same focus on discovering little stories scattered throughout landscapes without time limits or scoring pressure.

Hidden Folks 2 will launch on PC and mobile platforms including Steam, itch.io, App Store, and Google Play Store. The developers are considering Nintendo Switch "if there's demand," with the planned release window being early 2027. This sequel addresses fan requests for more content while preserving the unique charm that made the original stand out in the puzzle genre.
