Apple's upcoming foldable phone may be called the iPhone Duo, a name previously used by a Microsoft Surface device and a 1995 Apple notebook line, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The device is expected to start at $2,000 for the 256GB version and approach $3,000 for a fully-equipped 2TB model — less than the $2,500 starting price some pundits predicted. Apple reportedly sacrificed some profit margin to hit that target and boost demand.

Other rumored specs include Apple's new A20 Pro chip, C2 modem, dual 48-megapixel rear cameras, a 12MP front camera, Apple Pencil stylus support, and a magnetic hinge system. The wide design folds into a landscape shape for video and multitasking with side-by-side apps. It will come in dark blue and white and go on sale in October, shortly after the iPhone 18.

Gurman also noted that the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will be $100 more expensive than previous models.
