Dolby Vision 2 Launches on Hisense TVs

Dolby Vision 2 is officially available on select Hisense 2026 television models, including the UX, UR9, UR8, and U7, with more models receiving the update via firmware. The next-generation image engine introduces Content Intelligence, an AI-driven platform that uses embedded metadata to optimize content on a scene-by-scene basis, dynamically adjusting the picture so "every scene looks its best." This particularly helps with extremely dark cinematic moments, while also enhancing sports and gaming through white point adjustments and motion control.

Light Sense 2 continually optimizes picture quality based on ambient lighting, improving visibility of dark scenes in bright rooms. Authentic Motion, described as "the world's first creative driven motion control tool," eliminates unwanted jerky motion without creating the unnaturally smooth soap opera effect. Both are classified as Dolby Vision 2 Max features, supported on the aforementioned TVs, though not all future models will necessarily include Max capabilities.

An intensity slider allows users to "control the depth and richness" of the experience. Major content providers including Peacock, Canal+, and iQIYI have committed to utilizing Dolby Vision 2 tools. Dolby expects wider rollout across other TV manufacturers in the near future.
