Disney+ has secured global streaming rights for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, becoming the platform for official events in over 140 territories. In the US, races will also air on ESPN+. The deal allows the racing league to maintain local broadcast TV pacts in certain markets, as reported by Variety.

This arrangement begins with the 2026/27 season. Disney+ plans to broadcast 21 rounds across 13 events, starting on December 18 in Saudi Arabia. Other stops include Miami, Monaco, and Mexico City. Formula E, a racing league using electric vehicles since 2014, has grown in popularity.

Previously, Roku was the primary home for Formula E, even producing a documentary series. That partnership appears to be ending. In contrast, Formula 1 recently ended its collaboration with Disney's ESPN and partnered with Apple for US broadcasting rights.
