The highly anticipated cyberpunk platformer Replaced has been pushed back once again, moving from its March 12 release date to April 14, 2026. Developer Sad Cat Studios announced the one-month delay on social media, explaining that while the game is "technically finished," the team needs additional time for polish to ensure the day-one release meets their vision for a "polished, stable" experience.

This marks the latest in a series of delays for the pixel-art game, which has been in development for approximately five years. The most significant delay came in 2022 when the Belarus-based development team relocated to Cyprus following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Despite the setbacks, the studio's commitment to quality stands out in an industry plagued by buggy launches, as evidenced by recent high-profile disappointments like *Concord* and *Star Wars Jedi: Survivor*.

Set in a dystopian alternative 1980s America, Replaced casts players as an AI trapped in a human body, promising cinematic action combining melee strikes with ranged attacks. The game will launch on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and Microsoft Store, with day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass.
