If you've misplaced your Roku remote, you can still reconnect your device to Wi-Fi using several methods. The simplest approach is the Roku mobile app, available free on both iOS and Android. After downloading, connect your phone to the same network as your Roku, open the app, tap Devices, select your Roku, and use the virtual remote to navigate to Settings > Network > Set up connection > Wireless.

For devices with no active internet connection, try the mobile hotspot trick. Remember the exact SSID and password of your previous network. On one device, enable Mobile Hotspot and rename it to match your old Wi-Fi credentials. On a second device, connect to this hotspot, then use the Roku app to access your Roku's settings once it reconnects.

If your Roku has an Ethernet port, simply plug a cable directly from your router into the device for instant connectivity. This requires no setup or remote at all.

Common connection issues include mistyped passwords, weak signal strength, and incompatible 5GHz networks on older Roku models. When troubleshooting, try power-cycling your Roku, router, and modem for 30 seconds each.
