Clear Roku TV Cache With Remote Shortcut

Roku devices, like other smart devices, can slow down over time due to various factors. To address this, users can clear their Roku TV's cache to potentially improve performance. While Roku doesn't offer a direct "Clear Cache" option, there are a few methods to achieve this.

One method involves a hidden remote shortcut: press the Home button five times, then the Up button once, Rewind twice, and Fast Forward twice. This sequence triggers a system restart that clears cached data. Alternatively, a traditional system restart can be performed through the device's settings menu: navigate to Settings > System > Power > System restart.

A power cycle is another option. This involves unplugging the Roku device from its power source, waiting approximately 30 seconds, and then plugging it back in. Clearing the cache can lead to faster app loading and a snappier user experience. This maintenance is generally recommended once a month or when performance issues become apparent.
