Anthropic is significantly expanding its directory of connected services for Claude AI, moving the chatbot's capabilities from professional and educational settings to personal lifestyle applications. Users can now connect their accounts with AllTrails, Audible, Booking.com, Instacart, Intuit services, Resy, Spotify, StubHub, Taskrabbit, Thumbtack, TripAdvisor, Uber, Uber Eats and Viator.

The integration enables Claude to execute more complicated tasks on behalf of users. For example, the AI can now help plan a hike on AllTrails and automatically generate a Spotify playlist that lasts for the duration of the trek. This transition represents a strategic shift for Anthropic, positioning Claude as a comprehensive digital assistant for everyday activities rather than just work or learning environments.

Anthropic is also changing how applications appear within Claude's interface, making them suggest dynamically based on tasks rather than requiring users to switch between programs. As with most AI actions, Claude will confirm with users before taking actions like making reservations or purchases. Additional services will be added to the platform in the future.
