Boox has launched Tappy, a wireless remote designed specifically for e-reader users who want hands-free page turning. The Bluetooth device works with Boox's e-ink tablets and monitors, as well as supported Android devices. It's particularly useful for those who prop up or mount their ereaders, eliminating the need to physically reach the screen.

The remote offers three distinct modes. Reading mode turns the buttons into page turners, browsing mode enables vertical scrolling, and listening mode allows users to scrub through audio tracks. An indicator light confirms which mode is active. The Tappy has a wireless range of up to 33 feet and charges via USB-C, with Boox claiming weeks of battery life on a full charge.

Priced at $26, the Tappy comes in green and orange color options, with two spare keycaps included in the box. The accessory targets a specific niche—readers who use their ereaders in fixed positions like on stands or mounts, where reaching the screen becomes inconvenient. It's available now directly from Boox.
