Boox is entering the compact ereader market with the announcement of the "Picco." This new device sports a 3.97-inch monochrome e-paper display, making it exceptionally pocketable, even smaller than the Xteink X4 Pro.

Despite its diminutive size, the Picco appears to be a capable ereader, featuring a front-lit screen and a micro SD card reader. The company suggests that even an 8GB micro SD card could hold thousands of books.

Details such as weight, battery life, price, and release date are still under wraps, though Boox has indicated an "accessible price point." The Picco is also positioned as the first product in Boox's new line of diverse e-paper form factors.
