Boox Go 6 Refresh Adds Stylus Support for $200

Boox unveiled an updated Go 6 ereader that brings stylus support to the 6-inch E Ink device. The refresh pairs with the company's InkSense Plus stylus for note-taking, marking up books, and capturing handwritten thoughts. At $200, it competes directly with other premium ereaders while adding productivity features typically found on tablets.

The package totals around $245 with the $45 stylus included. Beyond stylus integration, Boox upgraded the RAM to 3GB for better responsiveness and added four new color options. A native note-taking app ships pre-installed, enabling users to annotate texts and create to-do lists. The device maintains the $300 PPI monochrome display that made its predecessor popular, along with 32GB storage and expandable microSD support.

Running Android gives access to Google Play Store apps, though the ePaper technology's low refresh rate creates limitations for certain software. The thin design weighs just over five ounces, making it portable for reading and note-taking on the move. Battery life extends to days with typical usage patterns.

This follows Boox's pattern of bringing stylus capabilities to its E Ink lineup, after introducing similar support in the Go 7 last year. The Go 6 positions itself as a hybrid reading and writing device for students and professionals who want digital ink without paying tablet prices.
