Ubisoft has finally revealed the Assassin's Creed: Black Flag remake, dropping a trailer that shows off the upcoming project. Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced is coming July 9 to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The trailer looks stunning, with graphics that match the quality of recent entries like Assassin's Creed Shadows. This is a full remake, not just a port.

The new version still stars Edward Kenway but adds plenty of fresh content. There's a new weather system, upgraded underwater exploration, refined combat that matches modern entries, and stealth mechanics that actually work—getting spotted doesn't automatically fail missions anymore. The remake even introduces new crew members, including a cat that accompanies you during exploration.

One interesting detail: the trailer only shows Caribbean 1700s scenes with none of the modern-day segments. This aligns with rumors that the remake will scrap the modern-day Montreal bits entirely. The original Black Flag is widely considered one of the franchise's most beloved entries, so there's considerable pressure on this remake to deliver.
