Apple Beats Gaming Controller Rumors Surface

Apple is reportedly developing two gaming controllers for iPhone under the Beats brand, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. These devices, codenamed T6502 and T1057, feature standard gaming inputs including dual thumbsticks, shoulder buttons, and D-pads. While Apple currently sells third-party controllers from brands like Backbone and Steel Series, these new units would represent Apple's first-party entry into the mobile gaming peripheral market.

Gurman suggests Apple is using the Beats brand strategically to experiment with new product territory, potentially offering a more affordable option by skipping premium materials. The Beats branding could also create greater overlap with the gaming community's aesthetic and culture. However, Gurman did not specify a release timeline for these rumored controllers.
