Airbnb is transforming into a comprehensive travel platform this summer, adding hotel bookings, grocery delivery, and transportation services. The company will feature boutique hotels in major cities including New York, Paris, and London, with price matching and up to 15 percent credit for future stays. Grocery delivery launches through Instacart in 25 US cities, offering free delivery for guests and $10 off orders over $50.

The expansion includes airport pickups via Welcome Pickups in 160 cities with 20 percent discounts, plus luggage storage integration with Bounce. Car rentals arrive this summer with 20 percent credit back toward future bookings. These services directly challenge traditional travel platforms like Booking.com while leveraging Airbnb's existing user base.

Airbnb is also expanding experiences to thousands of new options, including landmark visits like Tokyo Skytree and Taj Mahal, plus FIFA World Cup events. The grocery delivery feature alone could fundamentally change how travelers stock up during trips.
