Telegram and App Store Issues

Telegram briefly was removed from the Apple App Store on Monday due to the presence of child sexual abuse material posted by a user. Apple stated that the app was removed after a review found content violating strict guidelines prohibiting child abuse material. The app was subsequently restored after the offending content was removed. Russia's antitrust regulator has also opened a formal case against Apple concerning the mandatory preinstallation of domestic apps.

App Store Lawsuits and Features

Apple is facing a civil lawsuit in Brazil seeking R$300 million, approximately $59 million, in damages. The lawsuit alleges that children can access casino-style games on the App Store without adequate age verification. In related news Apple is developing a new feature to enable cross-device copy and paste functionality between iOS devices and Windows PCs. This feature was requested by Microsoft through Apple's EU interoperability request system.

Apple's Bug Bounty Program Adjustments

Apple has recently modified its bug bounty program in response to an increase in security reports generated by artificial intelligence. The company is grappling with a surge in what it describes as "AI slop" within these security submissions.
