A prolific leaker on X, known as itspdfu, has discovered Dynamic Island graphics in macOS 27.2 code, including assets for AirPods and battery alerts. This finding strongly suggests that Apple's rumored touchscreen iMac will feature the Dynamic Island interface.
The code dive also reinforces earlier rumors that the notch will be removed from the upcoming OLED MacBook Pro. The leaker's track record adds credibility to these revelations, which align with Apple's gradual migration of iPhone features to the Mac lineup.
Apple has not officially commented, but the evidence points to a significant redesign for both iMac and MacBook Pro models. The Dynamic Island could replace the current notch, offering a more interactive and adaptive UI element.
More details are expected later today as the leaker continues to analyze the macOS 27.2 beta. This development marks another step in Apple's convergence of iOS and macOS user experiences.
