Existing Lifetime Pass holders face no changes and will retain their benefits. The $749.99 cost equals roughly 10.5 years of annual subscription fees, compared to the current price covering just 3.5 years. Users must decide if locking in lifetime access now saves money versus ongoing payments.

Free alternatives like Jellyfin offer similar functionality without subscription costs, though with less polished apps and smaller community support.
