Apple has released the first release candidates for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27. These builds are considered feature-complete, meaning no new features will be added, though bug fixes may still occur in future RC versions. The release candidates follow eight developer betas, with the latest beta arriving on August 31.

The RC builds come with specific version numbers, such as iOS 27 RC 1 (24A435) and macOS 27 RC 1 (26A5428). Alongside these, Apple also issued release candidates for older versions like macOS 26.7 and iOS 26.7, which include updates to the Liquid Glass UI and Siri improvements.

Key features in these updates include a revamped Siri interface, enhanced child safety features, and new customization options for the Siri app icon. The Home app now supports connected HomePod and HomePod mini devices more seamlessly, while Wallet adds an insights option. Settings include a "Before Searching" toggle for app suggestions, and Control Center has been tweaked for Wi-Fi network management.

Apple Insider advises users to install beta software on secondary devices only, as these builds may contain bugs or performance issues. The final public release is expected soon, likely alongside new hardware announcements.
